Recap: Wahoo Warriors vs. Blair Bears

There's no place like home for the Wahoo Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They strolled past Blair with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 51-34. For Wahoo, this counts as revenge for the 37-15 loss Blair walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Sidney Smart continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ava Lausterer, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Blair saw an underclassman step up: Kaitlynn O'Neil scored nine points.

Wahoo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Blair, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wahoo will take on Plattsmouth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Plattsmouth focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on January 5th. As for Blair, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln Northwest at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Northwest has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
