Softball Game Preview: Marion Bulldogs vs. Lytle Pirates

For the second straight game, Marion will face off against Lytle. The Bulldogs will square off against the Pirates on Saturday. Marion is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

Marion blew Lytle out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Lytle got their revenge. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 4-2. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Marion saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Luna, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Luna is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6-3. As for Lytle, the victory got them back to even at 12-12-1.
