Softball Recap: Ramona Convent Wins Going Away Against Granite Hills

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ramona Convent had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Granite Hills Cougars as they made off with a 13-7 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Ramona Convent got a massive performance out of Aiden Velazquez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases Velazquez has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Vazquez, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Ramona Convent was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. They are 15-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Ramona Convent's record is now 18-9. As for Granite Hills, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8.

As of now, neither Ramona Convent nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
