Recap: Freedom Patriots vs. Jefferson Dragons
The Freedom Patriots's 18-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 38-28 victory over Jefferson. Freedom's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Freedom's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taniya Pedroso, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pedroso has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Breani May, who scored ten points.
Freedom's victory ended a ten-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-17. As for Jefferson, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with that defeat, which was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season.
Freedom will take on Alonso at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jefferson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brandon at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
