Football Recap: Little Wound's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Little Wound can now relate to. They took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Todd County Falcons on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (34), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

Bane Yellow Eagle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Todd County, rushing for 246 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. Those 246 rushing yards gave Yellow Eagle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Oniya Whirlwind Soldier, who picked up 117 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

The loss snapped Little Wound's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-3 record. As for Todd County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Little Wound does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Todd County, they will take on Winnebago at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
