The Pine Forest Trojans will head out to challenge the St. Pauls Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, Pine Forest made easy work of Westover and carried off an 18-1 win.
Mya Harris made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Harris was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

In other batting news, Savannah Winstead was a standout: she scored four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Jaelyn Green was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Pauls, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 20-2 margin over Lakewood on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Like Pine Forest, St. Pauls also got a great game from a two-way player: Zavannah Locklear. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Locklear was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, St. Pauls got a massive performance out of Hailey Ray, who scored four runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Madison Locklear, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
St. Pauls' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Pine Forest, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.
Pine Forest suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to St. Pauls when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Pine Forest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
