Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jewel Beckwith and Madalyn Pistulka Lead West Holt to Victory

After losing to Arcadia/Loup City the last time they met, West Holt decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Huskies came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

West Holt not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Arcadia/Loup City between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16.

West Holt was led to victory by Madalyn Pistulka and Jewel Beckwith. Pistulka had ten digs, while Beckwith had four digs.

Despite the loss, Arcadia/Loup City saw an underclassman step up: freshman Charlize Meyer had nine digs and nine assists.

West Holt pushed their record up to 16-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Arcadia/Loup City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

West Holt will venture away from home to square off against North Central on Thursday. As for Arcadia/Loup City, they will be taking part in a tournament against Doniphan-Trumbull at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
