Basketball Game Preview: Jordan Warriors vs. Katy Taylor Mustangs

Jordan is 0-6 against Katy Taylor since November of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Jordan will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Katy, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Jordan came out on top against Katy by a score of 56-48 on Monday.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Katy Taylor's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Katy 66-61.

Jordan is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Katy Taylor, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-4.

Jordan was dealt a bruising 63-27 defeat at the hands of Katy Taylor when the teams last played back in January. Can Jordan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
