Basketball Recap: Minneota Comes Up Short

Minneota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Minneota's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Lac qui Parle Valley, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Minneota will head out to take on MACCRAY at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lac qui Parle Valley, they will take on Yellow Medicine East at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lac qui Parle Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.
