Softball Recap: Claude Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Claude won the last time they faced Kress and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Kangaroos by a score of 9-6.

Claude is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Kress, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Claude will challenge Follett at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.57 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kress, they will square off against Lubbock T at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Kangaroos are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
