Baseball Recap: Eldorado Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Eldorado extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 11-2. They came out on top against the West Mesa Mustangs by a score of 7-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

Eldorado got a massive performance out of Timothy Kamphuis, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Kamphuis' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sullivan Wilson, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Eldorado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matchups.

As for West Mesa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games.

On West Mesa's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Scott Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. Armoni Baca was another, going 3-for-4 with one run.

Coming up, Eldorado will head out on the road to challenge Del Norte at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.73 runs per game on average), something the Golden Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Mesa, they will face off against Albuquerque at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Mustangs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
