Baseball Recap: Scranton Comes Up Short

Scranton was the 5-1 winner over Valley View when they last played one another on April 7th, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell 8-4 to the Cougars on Wednesday.

Joe McIntyre was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Scranton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Valley View, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Scranton is set to take on their familiar foe Delaware Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Valley View will square off against rival Scranton Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
