Volleyball Recap: Canton Central Catholic's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Canton Central Catholic had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Fairless Falcons with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crusaders also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2020.

The win didn't come easy: Fairless scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 27-25.

Avery Mcmahon paced Canton Central Catholic's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mcmahon got some help from Mae Axline and her 29 assists. Allison Vincente controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Fairless lost, don't look at Morgan Burdge. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and one assist.

Canton Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Fairless, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Canton Central Catholic will square off against McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairless, they will challenge Northwest at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
