Volleyball Recap: Lake Nona Gets the Win

Lake Nona took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Timber Creek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions skirted past the Wolves 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted against the Wolves since October 2, 2020.

Lake Nona wouldn't go down easily and took Timber Creek into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-18, 25-19, 26-28, 15-11.

Jocelyn Serra had an outrageously good game as she had 25 digs and three assists. Those 25 digs gave her a new career-high.

The victory got Lake Nona back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Nona will venture away from home to challenge Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Timber Creek, they will head out to square off against Apopka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
