It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lancaster had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Jamestown Red & Green with a sharp 13-3 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Lancaster as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Eric Castren was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Mike Schaefer was another key contributor, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with a home run and two runs.

Lancaster's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Jamestown, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-13-1.

Lancaster will challenge Niagara Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Niagara Falls will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Lancaster surely won't give up without a fight. Jamestown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
