Basketball Recap: Mt. Carmel Takes a Loss

Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 77-44 defeat at the hands of the Southern Lab Kittens. While losing is never fun, the Cubs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Kittens are ranked sixth).

Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Southern Lab, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-4.

Coming up, Mt. Carmel will be playing at home against John Curtis Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southern Lab, they will challenge Destrehan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
