Recap: Holy Name Green Wave vs. Marlington Dukes
After flying high against the Valley Forge Patriots two weeks ago, the Holy Name Green Wave came back down to earth. Holy Name had to suffer through a rough 63-19 loss at the hands of Marlington. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Holy Name has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Holy Name saw an underclassman step up: Claire Coljohn scored ten points.
Holy Name's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-11. As for Marlington, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.
Holy Name does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marlington, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Vincent-St. Mary at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marlington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while St. Vincent-St. Mary is ranked 16th).
