Softball Preview: Tunstall Trojans vs. Mecklenburg County Phoenix
The Tunstall Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Mecklenburg County Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Tunstall made easy work of Bassett and carried off an 18-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tunstall.
Colby Eastwood made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Eastwood has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Eastwood was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
