Softball Recap: Waltonville Drops Season-High Score on Cisne

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waltonville). They blew past the Cisne Runnin' Lions 27-1 on Tuesday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Waltonville's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Cisne, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, Waltonville will host Wayne City at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cisne, they will head out on the road to challenge Odin/Patoka/Sandoval at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Runnin' Lions will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
