Forsyth Home Educators got themselves on the board against South Wake on Saturday, but South Wake never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Sabres with a sharp 11-0 victory. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Nolan Holley and Parker Broadus made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Holley tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Broadus didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. At bat, Holley scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Broadus scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other pitching news, Skyler Faircloth looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single walk in four consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Matthew Lane, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ashton Hooker, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

Forsyth Home Educators always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Forsyth Home Educators' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for South Wake, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forsyth Home Educators will square off against Millennium at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for South Wake, they will welcome DASH at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
