Basketball Recap: Granada Comes Up Short

Granada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Cardinal Newman Cardinals on the road by a 56-42 margin. If the Matadors were looking for revenge after losing 62-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Granada's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Cardinal Newman, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Granada will finish 2024 at home by hosting Deer Valley at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Cardinal Newman, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cardinal Newman Cardinals duke it out with the Ukiah Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cardinal Newman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Ukiah likes a good challenge.
