Softball Recap: Gabrielino Takes a Loss

Gabrielino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Mountain View Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 17-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Gabrielino's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mountain View, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Coming up, Gabrielino is taking a road trip to face off against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mountain View, they will venture away from home to square off against El Monte at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
