Baseball Game Preview: Douglas Byrd Eagles vs. Gray's Creek Bears

That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Mason Barnes was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Gunner Sterling was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Gray's Creek's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Douglas Byrd, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
