Basketball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Holy Cross' Tenth in Last 11 Outings

After losing to Cinnaminson the last time they met, Holy Cross decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Holy Cross Lancers walked away with a 62-52 win over the Cinnaminson Pirates on Monday.

Holy Cross' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmanuel Doku, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 13 boards. Doku's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Owens, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 18 points and six assists.

Holy Cross is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points over those games. Cinnaminson is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

Holy Cross wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 38-33 win against Westampton Tech on the 13th. As for Cinnaminson, they have also already played their next game, an 88-65 victory against Pemberton on the 12th.
