Basketball Game Preview: Glades Central Raiders vs. Pahokee Blue Devils

Glades Central and Pahokee are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Glades Central Raiders just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Pahokee Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Glades Central played against Boynton Beach and lost via forfeit.

Having struggled with five losses in a row dating back to last season, Pahokee turned things around against Glades Day on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 44-7 victory over the Gators. The Blue Devils' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Glades Central better keep an eye on Sa?Nya Flowers. She was instrumental in Pahokee's win, putting up 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Flowers has scored at least a third of Pahokee's points. Karlissa Young was another key player, posting six points.

Glades Central dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Pahokee, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Glades Central came up short against Pahokee in their previous matchup back in January, falling 41-34. Can Glades Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
