Softball Game Preview: Narragansett Regional Warriors vs. West Boylston Lions

Narragansett Regional and West Boylston are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Warriors will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. Narragansett Regional will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Monday, Narragansett Regional was able to grind out a solid win over Lunenburg, taking the game 8-5.

The team relied heavily on Mya Mckay, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Cassidy Paridis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Narragansett Regional was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lunenburg only posted a batting average of .286.

Meanwhile, while West Boylston put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Bromfield. The Lions were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Trojans. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.

West Boylston's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Narragansett Regional, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Everything went Narragansett Regional's way against West Boylston when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Narragansett Regional made off with a 14-1 victory. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
