Baseball Recap: Hudson Comes Up Short

Hudson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pasco Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 back in February.

Justin Mitchell was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Hudson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Tysko, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Pasco, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hudson will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Pasco, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Gibson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
