Soccer Recap: Florence Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against Coolidge

There's no place like home for Florence, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over the Coolidge Bears on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Gophers needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Florence's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matches. As for Coolidge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florence will venture away from home to square off against Benjamin Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benjamin Franklin knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Florence likes a good challenge.
