The Strawberry Crest Chargers will take on the Alonso Ravens in a tournament on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Strawberry Crest 3.2, Alonso 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Strawberry Crest is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Sumner 17-7 on Saturday. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Reuben Vasquez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matt Hall, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3.
Vasquez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Strawberry Crest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sumner only managed five hits.
Meanwhile, Alonso earned a 7-3 win over Lennard on Saturday.
Alonso also got a great performance from Elier Velazquez as he didn't allow a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. What's more, Velazquez gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Alonso's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bryan Alonso, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Aidan Sansing was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Alonso is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. Strawberry Crest pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Strawberry Crest has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Alonso struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts.
