Baseball Recap: Sigourney Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Sigourney strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks a 16-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Savages, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sigourney's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Colfax-Mingo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
