Soccer Game Preview: Canfield vs. Aurora

The Canfield Cardinals will challenge the Aurora Greenmen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Canfield comes in on six and Aurora on seven.

Canfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over North. Given Canfield's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 12th, while North are ranked 140th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Aurora got the win against Archbishop Hoban on Saturday by a conclusive 6-1. The result was nothing new for Aurora, who have now won 15 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Archbishop Hoban with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jordan West (3), Kam Warnke, Christopher Savukas, and Cameron Gentille.

Canfield's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Aurora, their win bumped their record up to 16-1-3.
