Basketball Game Preview: Perris Panthers vs. Hemet Bulldogs

The Perris Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Hemet Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Perris sitting on four straight wins and Hemet on 17.

Last Tuesday, Perris didn't have too much trouble with Vista del Lago as they won 74-58.

Meanwhile, Hemet won against Lakeside on Thursday with 74 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Hemet came out on top against Paloma Valley by a score of 74-64. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Wildcats are ranked 820th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Perris is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Hemet, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Perris came up short against Hemet in their previous matchup on January 7th, falling 67-56. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hemet's Quinton Skinner, who went 10 for 15 en route to 26 points and seven rebounds.
