Softball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 21-4 to the Space Coast Vipers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vipers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 last Monday.

Heritage saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Medina, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Space Coast, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will challenge Palm Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.6 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Space Coast, they will be playing at home against Merritt Island Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vipers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
