Big Bend has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Fort Davis Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-32, which was the final score in Big Bend's tilt against Marfa on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, sadly, Fort Davis is still looking for their first win of the season after 12 contests. They were dealt a 62-9 defeat at the hands of Van Horn on Tuesday. Fort Davis was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 23-3.
Big Bend dropped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Fort Davis, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
Big Bend was taken down by Fort Davis 69-40 in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. Can Big Bend avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
