Softball Recap: Tri-County Penguins vs. Rosholt Hornets
Tri-County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rosholt Hornets. For Rosholt's part, Addi Gagas made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off only one hit. Gagas was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, a triple, and an RBI.
In other batting news, Gracie Flees was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Kaylee Filtz was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
