Baseball Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss

Foothill fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Las Vegas on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Brayden Stidham was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Will Gibson was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 19-9-1. As for Las Vegas, their record now sits at 19-9.

While Foothill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
