Football Recap: Strong Effort on D from Zenani Guannu and Lyrical White Leads Claremont over Alta Loma

While Claremont put up some points on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Alta Loma. The Wolfpack put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 24-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolfpack, who have now won four matches by 24 points or more so far this season.

Claremont didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zenani Guannu and Lyrical White. Guannu is also crushing it when it comes to receiving touchdowns: she's hauled in at least two every time she's taken the field this season. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win made it two in a row for Claremont and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.5 points over those games. As for Alta Loma, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Claremont will host Linfield Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' defense has only allowed three points per game this season, so the Wolfpack's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Alta Loma, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Los Osos at 7:45 p.m. on September 8.
