Basketball Recap: Knightstown Panthers vs. Blue River Valley Vikings
The Knightstown Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight defeat. They fell just short of Blue River Valley by a score of 52-49. That's two games in a row now that Knightstown has lost by exactly three points.
When it comes to explaining why Knightstown lost, one person who can't be blamed is Michael Roberson. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 38.8% of Knightstown's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Inman, who scored nine points.
Knightstown has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Blue River Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.
