Basketball Game Preview: Brattleboro Bears vs. Fair Haven Slaters

The Brattleboro Bears will head out on the road to square off against the Fair Haven Slaters at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brattleboro is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

On Saturday, Brattleboro lost to St. Johnsbury Academy at home by a 73-54 margin.

Despite the loss, Brattleboro had strong showings from Noah Moore, who posted 17 points and five rebounds, and Hudson Smith, who put up 13 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Landon Zinn, who earned four points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fair Haven, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 78-61 win over Windsor on Friday.

Fair Haven's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Brattleboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Brattleboro took a serious blow against Fair Haven in their previous meeting back in January, falling 72-40. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
