Baseball Recap: Perry Central Commodores vs. West Washington Senators

Perry Central was the 2-1 winner over West Washington when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Perry Central Commodores wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

For West Washington's part, Tate Timberlake made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Timberlake has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Timberlake was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Chase Williams was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Hayden Morrow was another key contributor, going 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.
