Trinity Christian 4-star quarterback to play for Willie Taggart.

Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, announced on Monday his commitment to Florida Atlantic University. The 4-star quarterback from Trinity Christian (Cedar Hill, Texas) has led the Tigers to three consecutive TAPPS Division 2 high school football championships.

Starting under center since his freshman season, Sanders has thrown for 8,925 yards and 123 touchdowns while adding another 23 scores on the ground. He's 39-2 as the starting quarterback and is coming off a career-best, completing 73.7 percent of his passes in 2019.

Deion Sanders has been Trinity Christian's offensive coordinator the last three years and the Tigers are averaging just under 46 points per game.

The Dallas Morning News reported in June the Tigers joined the Texas Christian Athletic League for all sports after having their TAPPS membership terminated in December.

They will be playing a national schedule in 2020 and still have not released the full schedule with a lot of uncertainty still surrounding the fall season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sanders is the biggest commitment from the Class of 2021 for Florida Atlantic coach Willie Taggart as he enters his first season as head coach. Some other notable commits include Fred Eaford of Deerfield Beach (Fla.), Zuberi Mobley of Northwestern (Miami), Jadai Smith of Dr. Phillips (Orlando) and Dwight Dassaw of Palmetto (Miami).
