Volleyball Recap: Twelve Bridges Comes Up Short

Twelve Bridges saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Encina Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Raging Rhinos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wyatt Flannery paced Twelve Bridges' offense, picking up eight kills. Flannery got some help from JP Racela and his 23 assists. Melad Nawrooz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Youssef Slekh, who had seven digs and two aces. What's more, he posted two assists, the most he's had since back in March.

Twelve Bridges now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Encina, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Twelve Bridges wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Leroy Greene Academy on the 12th. As for Encina, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Livermore on the 12th.
