Soccer Recap: Mt. Carmel Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mt. Carmel lost against Richland County back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golden Aces lost 5-1 to the Tigers. Mt. Carmel were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Santiago Guanipa, which was the first he's scored this season.

Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Richland County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1-1.

Coming up, Mt. Carmel will be playing at home against Massac County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Richland County, they will square off against Altamont at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Altamont's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
