Soccer Recap: Cabrillo Wins Going Away Against Morro Bay

Cabrillo kept a clean sheet against Morro Bay on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Morro Bay Pirates as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Conquistadores: when they faced off against the Pirates back in January, they had to take a 5-1 defeat.

Charles Wallace and Brenden Baker scored all three of Cabrillo's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Cabrillo has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-15-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five games. As for Morro Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11-1.

Cabrillo will face off against Orcutt Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Cabrillo is facing Orcutt Academy at the right time seeing as Orcutt Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Morro Bay, they will host Nipomo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nipomo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.
