Baseball Recap: Sylvania Comes Up Short

Sylvania lost against Geraldine last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 17-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rams have suffered against the Bulldogs since April 15, 2022.

Sylvania is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18. As for Geraldine, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sylvania will head out to square off against Plainview at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Geraldine, they are taking a road trip to challenge North Jackson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
