On Friday, the Nicholas County Grizzlies beat the Chapmanville Regional Tigers 20-7.

Nicholas County can attribute much of their success to Coleton Hellems, who threw for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes, and also rushed for 48 yards. The dominant performance gave Hellems a new career-high in rushing yards. Braden Johnson made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Nicholas County's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Johnson, Jacob Hamilton, and Lucas Milam picked up one apiece.
