Softball Recap: Longmeadow Takes a Loss

Longmeadow managed to slip by East Longmeadow the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lancers came up short against the Spartans on Friday, falling 12-2. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Longmeadow saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Blue, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Longmeadow and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for East Longmeadow, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Longmeadow is set to take on their familiar foe Easthampton/Hampshire at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, East Longmeadow will square off against rival Monson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
