Soccer Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain View Eagles. While losing is never fun, Lakeland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 515th, while Mountain View are ranked 113th).

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Mountain View, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lakeland is set to square off against their familiar foe Dunmore at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mountain View will challenge rival Mid Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
