Softball Recap: Stonington Comes Up Short

Stonington's last matchup with Ledyard could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Bears lost 14-1 to the Colonels. The Bears have struggled against the Colonels recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Stonington's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Ledyard, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Stonington will be playing at home against Waterford at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ledyard will be paying especially close attention to the Bears' contest: after the Bears face off against Lyman Memorial, they'll take on Ledyard again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
