Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Rivercrest's Third in Last Four Outings

Osceola came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Rivercrest, but Destiny Burks wouldn't allow it. The Rivercrest Colts secured a 78-72 W over the Osceola Seminoles on Thursday thanks in part to Burks, who posted 41 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Those 41 points gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jalexia Young, who had ten points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Rivercrest has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Osceola, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Rivercrest will challenge Walnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Osceola, they will take on Manila at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
